She believes understanding and predicting the response of ecosystems to environmental changes is crucial for sustaining and managing important ecosystems. |

Extension Professor & Agronomy Specialist - University of Vermont Extension Heather Darby works with the dairy farming community on a wide range of crop and soil topics that are important to the farming community. Associate Professor, Field Specialist - Manure Nutrient Management Application - Ohio State University Glen Arnold is a professor and extension field specialist with The Ohio State University in manure nutrient management application. He works to move producers and commercial applicators toward applying manure to wheat and corn during the growing season to capture more nutrients and extend the application season. MELISSA WILSON
Associate Professor, Extension Specialist - Manure Nutrient Management and Water Quality - University of Minnesota Dr. Melissa Wilson is an associate professor and extension specialist, manure nutrient management and water quality with the University of Minnesota. Her research program focuses on evaluating manure handling techniques that reduce impacts on water quality, and filling knowledge gaps about manure nutrient cycling. VICTOR GREEN
Director of Soil Health and Sustainable Crop Production - Dairy Management Inc. Victor Green holds a Master’s of science in agronomy from ISU. Currently, he is the director of soil health and crop sustainability as part of DMI’s environmental research team. CCE Delaware County Senior Team Lead: WAP Nutrient Management Dale Dewing leads the CCE efforts in the New York City Watershed Agricultural Program helping coordinate multiagency efforts to protect the unfiltered drinking water source for the nine million water consumers in the New York City water system. NYS Department of Agriculture and Markets, CNMP Specialist Brendan got his start in agriculture on his grandparent’s dairy farm in St. Lawrence County. Extension Professor, Agricultural Systems Technology - University of Missouri Teng Teeh Lim, PhD, PE is an extension professor in agriculture systems technology, and an active member of the University of Missouri Dairy and Swine Focus Teams. Dairy Herd Management Educator - University of Vermont Extension Whitney Hull holds a dual BS in animal science and biology. Since 2021, Whitney has been working a dairy outreach specialist with UVM Extension, where she works with dairy farmers across Vermont to improve herd management and economic viability. She is currently working on her master’s at UVM. |

On-Farm Research Coordinator - Nutrient Management Spear Program Juan Carlos Ramos Tanchez is the on-farm research coordinator of the Nutrient Management Spear Program (NMSP). Ag Climate Resiliency Specialist - Harvest New York - Cornell Cooperative Extension Kitty O’Neil is a statewide ag climate resiliency specialist at Cornell Cooperative Extension and an original member of Cornell’s Climate Smart Farming Extension team. She works to equip farmers with evidence-based information to enhance resilience in the face of climate change challenges. LAUREN RAY
Agricultural Sustainability and Energy Engineer - Cornell Cals Pro-Dairy Lauren Ray is an engineer within the Dairy Environmental Systems group of PRO-DAIRY. Her experience has spanned from energy system research and development to energy generation project application and implementation. Lauren has a B.S. in mechanical and aerospace engineering from Cornell University and a M.S. in mechanical engineering from Georgia Institute of Technology. |

Ph. D Student - Cornell University Gurpreet Kaur is originally from India. Her family’s love for gardening inspired her to pursue agriculture, eventually obtaining her Master’s in soil microbiology. She came to U.S. in the fall of 2022, to pursue a Ph.D. in animal science at Cornell University. QUIRINE KETTERINGS
Professor, Nutrient Management - Cornell College of Agriculture and Life Sciences Quirine received her MS from Wageningen Agricultural University and her PhD from The Ohio State University. She established and leads the CALS Nutrient Management Spear Program (NMSP), the applied research, teaching and extension program for field crop fertility management that aims to improve grower and agricultural industry management of crop nutrient needs. Agronomy Specialist - University of Vermont Extension Abby Augarten is an agronomy specialist with the University of Vermont Extension, where she works in partnership with the farming community to implement conservation practices for greater economic and environmental resiliency. JASON OLIVER
Senior Extension Associate - Cornell Cals Pro-Dairy Jason Oliver is the senior extension associate and dairy environmental systems engineer with Cornell PRO-DAIRY, and a faculty fellow at the Cornell Atkinson Center for Sustainability. He has a PhD in biosystems engineering from the University of Minnesota and has been conducting on-farm, applied research and outreach for more than 10 years. RICHARD STUP
